Things put in place to protect the children and staff from the spread of coronavirus.

Before children arrive at the setting:

Door handles and touch points will be wiped down with antibacterial wipes or spray.

Doors to the playroom and bathroom will be kept open to avoid children touching the doors when arriving before washing their hands.

When arriving at the setting:

Children will be asked to wash their hands

Temperature checks will be made

Whilst playing:

Children will be encouraged to play outside or in the hall where there is plenty of space to run around and maintain distancing.

We will be spraying antibaterial spray on our pencils and scissors before children use them.

Snacks

We are changing our snacks to avoid cross contamination.

All snacks will be individually wrapped and not shared. i.e., individual packets of biscuits, crisps, raisins, popcorn, pretzels, etc., and

single items of fruit and veg: bananas, apples, pears, mini cucumbers, celery sticks,  cherry tomatoes 

Water and juice will still be available at all times

Picking up

All parents will be asked to wait outside for their child to be brought to them. Distancing posters will be outside to remind parents to maintain their distance from staff and other parents.
